RED FOX SURVIVAL
BLOG

We’re proud to welcome Thursty Turtle to the Red Fox Survival client family. As one of the few bars in the area properly prepared for emergencies such as cuts, burns, and bar-related incidents, they are now fully stocked to Regulation 3 compliance standards. Even better, they’ve partnered with us for monthly inspections and restocking to ensure they stay compliant and ready at all times. Prepared. Compliant. Responsible.
Drowning can happen quickly and silently, even in seemingly shallow or calm water. One often overlooked factor in preventing accidents is swimsuit visibility — children wearing bright, high-visibility colors like neon orange, yellow, or pink are far easier to spot in a pool than those wearing blues, greys, or darker tones that blend into the water. However, visibility alone is not enough. Constant supervision, age-appropriate swimming lessons, proper flotation devices, and secure pool barriers are essential to keeping children safe. In the event of a drowning, quick action — calling for help, safely removing the child from the water, and performing CPR if necessary — can save lives. Prioritizing prevention and preparedness ensures that fun in the water stays safe for everyone.

Weekends at the markets are where Red Fox Survival truly comes to life. Between the buzz of people, music, and conversation, we set up our table and do what we love most—talking about safety, preparedness, and real-life survival. We meet families, first responders, hikers, parents, and everyday people who all share one thing in common: the desire to feel safer. Every question asked, every product explained, and every safety tip shared reminds us why we started. Markets aren’t just about selling gear for us—they’re about connecting with the community, raising awareness, and making personal safety accessible to everyone. One conversation at a time, we’re building a safer, more prepared community.
How to Safely Clean a Wound Stop the bleeding Apply gentle pressure with clean gauze until bleeding stops. Wash your hands Use soap and water or hand sanitizer. Rinse the wound Flush gently with clean running water to remove dirt and debris. Do not scrub. Clean around the area Use mild soap on the surrounding skin only—not inside the wound. Disinfect Apply a small amount of antiseptic if available. Dry and cover Pat dry with clean gauze and cover with a sterile dressing. Monitor Change dressing daily and watch for redness, swelling, or pus. Get medical help if bleeding won’t stop, the wound is deep, or signs of infection appear.

Leg (Thigh) Holster A leg holster is a secure, adjustable carry system designed to position a firearm or self-defence tool on the upper thigh, allowing for fast access, comfort, and freedom of movement. Made from durable, lightweight materials, leg holsters are built to stay firmly in place during active use while distributing weight evenly to reduce strain. Ideal for tactical use, range training, security work, and high-mobility environments, leg holsters provide a reliable carry option when waistband or belt carry is impractical. Why People Prefer a Leg Holster Quick access – Natural hand position allows faster draw times Comfortable carry – Reduces pressure on the waist and lower back Improved mobility – Easier to move, sit, or bend compared to belt holsters Secure fit – Adjustable straps keep the holster stable during movement Works with gear – Ideal when wearing body armour, tactical vests, or heavy belts Versatile use – Popular with security professionals, first responders, and tactical users
